Welcome to Quiz Toolkit! A modern live quiz platform created for trivia hosts, educators, pub quizmasters, and event organizers. Everything runs directly in your browser with real-time smartphone buzzers, dual-screen presentation (quizmaster remote), without the hassle of logins, accounts, subscriptions or cloud storage.
Your quiz library is saved in browser storage on this device. You own your questions, media, and participants' data — no subscriptions, mandatory tracking, or subscription lock-in. Remember to export your quiz (.zip or .csv) for safe long-term preservation and sharing across devices.
How to Host a Quiz in 5 Steps
Create or Import Your Quiz
Click Create a quiz from your Library to build in the visual Quiz Designer, or click Import a quiz to load questions from a Google Sheets URL, CSV, or previously exported ZIP backup file.
Launch the Session
Click Host on any quiz card in your Library. Choose between Dual Screen (recommended: opens an audience-safe Presentation display for your screen and a private Quizmaster controller for you) or Single Screen mode. You can also scan a QR code to open a Quizmaster Remote on your phone and control the quiz from your phone.
Connect Audience & Players
The presentation display shows your 6-character room code and QR code. Players navigate to /join on their phones or scan the QR code, enter the 6-character room code, select their team, and get their interactive buzzer pad.
Run the Game
Open questions, track incoming buzzes with server-arbitrated lockout ranking, start timers, adjust team scores with one click, and trigger fun game-show sound effects.
Grand Finale Podium Reveal
When all rounds are complete, click End Quiz to trigger the interactive Podium Screen on the audience display. Click or press any key to dramatically reveal the 3rd, 2nd, and 1st place champions complete with celebratory fanfare!
Managing Your Library
The Library is your command center for managing quiz packs and active games:
- Host: Starts a new game session or lets you jump into an existing one.
- Resume / Reset: If a quiz has an active session in progress, you can resume right where you left off or reset the session to start fresh with zeroed scores.
- Edit: Opens the quiz in the visual Designer to adjust questions, media, and themes.
- Export: Download your quiz as a full
.zippackage (with all embedded media) or a text-only.csvspreadsheet. - Duplicate: Clone an existing quiz with one click to make variations or seasonal templates.
- Delete: Remove unwanted quiz packs from your local browser storage.
